Instead of a boiler you'll have a Heat Interface Unit (HIU) in your home located in the cupboard in your hallway. The HIU controls the transfer of heat from the heat network into your homes central heating and hot water system.

The HIU belongs to the heat network, you must never touch or interfere with the HIU or allow anyone else to carry out any work on it.

We'll make an appointment to visit your home once at least once every two years to inspect and service the HIU. Costs for servicing your HIU are included in your heat tariff.  If you’re renting your home the cost of servicing your HIU and carrying out any repairs will always be covered by your landlord, unless you have deliberately caused damage or interfered with the system.

Depending on the network your connected too and your heat tariff, the cost of repairs and replacement parts may also be covered in full. If this applies it will be explained in your welcome brochure. If you’re unsure get in touch and we’ll be able to confirm.
